It’s very important that you keep track of when you last replaced your air filter so you can coordinate getting a new one to keep your system clean. Having a clogged filter can block air flow and cause your system to malfunction, some studies have shown that this block in air flow can lower your AC’s efficiency by up to 10%.

Check Thermostat Batteries

We know, it can’t be that simple right? You’d be surprised! Sometimes the simplest solutions get overlooked, but this one can have a huge impact on your system’s performance.

Check The Circuit Breaker

It’s common for circuits to get tripped or messed up, so this can be an easy fix if you know what to look for. Simply find you circuit breaker in the breaker box and flip the switch in the opposite position. If you don’t notice any changes you might need to call an electrician as this would be a much more serious issue.

Check The Coil On The Outside Of Your Machine

First, know where to find your condenser coil. Once you’ve found it, check to see if it’s covered in debris or dust. A clean condenser coil is key to having an efficient AC unit.
